Who we are and how we started.

 

Two brothers, one big idea... 

In 1990 the first Sal’s Pizza was opened in Salem NH, with only two employees, Sal and Nick Lupoli.  The brothers vowed to use only the freshest ingredients and prepare their dough daily. They set out to establish a reputation for the best quality, largest pizza at the lowest price and offered the 3-pound 19-inch pizza, which quickly became a legend.

More than just a pizza store...

In 1994 Sal’s pizza decided to invest in building a state-of-the-art 35,000 sq. ft. USDA approved commissary. 

The commissary supports all of the retail locations throughout New England, the wholesale business throughout the Merrimack Valley, and produces 12,000 pizzas a week for school districts throughout New England.   Sal’s also provides wholesale products to several supermarket chains, convenience store distributers, and various concession groups.  Sal’s is the largest manufacturer of fresh pizza in all of New England.
